Members of the FRIENDS OF FILBERT PARK Advisory Council were invited by the Executive Director of Black Bear Academy, a nearby preschool/kindergarten, to speak with parents at their fall orientation.  The meeting was very successful and we added a lot of people to our list of Filbert supporters! Filbert Playlot Park is located only one block away from Black Bear Academy.  Their students used to go to Filbert on a regular basis; however, they stopped using this playground due to its significant rat problems.  Black Bear Academy is extremely interested in having the playground renovated so their kids can once again use the park.  They have been one of our strongest supporters and we sincerely appreciate Black Bear's support!
