FRIENDS OF FILBERT PLAYLOT PARK has been working very closely with Alderman Schulter and his staff since we first began our efforts to renovate Filbert.  The Alderman has been a great advocate and supporter of our cause.  He officially pledged $100,000 towards renovating Filbert Playlot Park on January 12, 2011.   Chicago Park District playground renovations are typically funded through 1/3 Aldermanic, 1/3 Park District, and 1/3 Community donations.  This generous donation from Alderman Schulter should cover his 1/3 of the total renovation cost.  Thank you, Alderman Schulter!
