April 12 Meeting with Alderman-Elect Pawar’s Transition Team
Emily Klingensmith attended a meeting with Alderman-Elect Pawar’s community organization transition team on Tuesday, April 12th. The transition team is reaching out to various organizations such as FRIENDS OF FILBERT PLAYLOT PARK to learn about us and our needs, and to determine how we can best work together going forward. The meeting was a success! We also met representatives from several other Northcenter organizations who may be able to work with us and expand our reach within the community.
An interesting side note: Alderman-Elect Pawar was one of the first people to sign-up as a FRIENDS OF FILBERT PLAYLOT PARK supporter in summer 2010. Also, he was the first person to make a personal donation to our playground renovation fund! We thank him for his support thus far, and we look forward to working with him when he assumes his Aldermanic post.
