June 10-12 Ribfest Fundraiser
FRIENDS OF FILBERT PLAYLOT PARK is volunteering at Ribfest to earn money for our playground renovation! All of the volunteer positions are full, so thanks to our supporters who signed up for one (or more) positions! FRIENDS OF FILBERT PLAYLOT PARK will receive money proportionate to the number of volunteers that we’re providing.
Ribfest is one of Chicago’s most anticipated street festivals —averaging 50,000 pounds of pork and 50,000+ attendees who love to kickoff summer at this three-day event. Chicagoland restaurants compete for the title of “Best Ribs”, plus - there is a professional rib-eating contest! Ribfest has become a nationally recognized Indie music festival hosting two stages that feature top local and national acts. And the now-famous “Kids Square” provides hours of entertainment allowing children to slide, climb, jump, ride, dance and enjoy live entertainment all weekend long.
